Matte lipstick has a reputation problem: the color holds, and by mid-afternoon your lips have filed a complaint. This one takes a different route to the same finish.

WHY IT FEELS LIKE MOUSSE
Around 8% of the formula is crosslinked silicone elastomer, the ingredient class that turns a fluid into a cushioned gel. That network is the whip: color that presses on like chilled cream and spreads without tugging, from a precision applicator built for the lip edge.

WHY IT BLURS
5.8% silica plus a silsesquioxane powder scatter light across the color. Lip lines are visible because light catches their edges; scatter the light and the lines lose their outline. That optical work is what soft-matte means here.

WHY IT STAYS
The base carries volatile solvents that evaporate within minutes of application. What remains is the part that matters: a film of dimethicone/vinyltrimethylsiloxysilicate crosspolymer and trimethylsiloxysilicate, close to 6% combined, the resin family long-wear makeup is built on. No wear test exists for this product, so you will not find an hour count here. The film is real; your day decides the rest.

COVERAGE, WITH ONE FOOTNOTE
Eight of the ten shades carry titanium dioxide between 1% and 2.6%, enough to even out uneven lip tone, with 06 Autumn and 07 Peach Dream carrying the most. The exception is 01 Sassy: no white pigment at all, built instead on a classic red stain dye, so it wears brighter, sheerer, and leaves a tint behind. Different job, done on purpose.

COMFORT WITHOUT WATER
The formula is anhydrous: no water, no drying alcohols. Cushion comes from a 5.4% lanolin-class emollient and ester oils that keep the set film from feeling like shrink wrap. If your lips are already chapped, balm first, blot, then apply.

1. Twist to open. The applicator is cut for the lip edge, so start at the outline for definition, or in the center for a soft blot.
2. One pass is a wash of color; a second pass builds to full intensity. Let the first pass set briefly so you layer film on film instead of dragging wet mousse.
3. For the blurred lip, color the inner half and press outward with a fingertip before the film sets. Shape early; the mousse sets as the light solvents evaporate.
4. Layer gloss on top later if the day changes.
5. Close the cap tightly after use. The texture depends on volatile solvents, and they will happily evaporate in the tube if you let them.
